Some of the suspects admitted to undergoing terrorists trainings in Borno. The Department of State Security Service, SSS , on Wednesday paraded a lecturer of the Kogi State University, Ayingba , Muhammad Nazeef, for allegedly being a member of a Boko Haram cell. Mr. Nazeef, said to be a lecturer in the Department for Islamic Studies, was paraded alongside four others, at the SSS headquarters in Abuja. The lecturer was said to be the spiritual leader of the cell. The SSS spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar, who briefed journalists at the commission’s headquarters, said the suspects were arrested at a mosque in Zuba, Abuja. She said the Boko Haram cell was uncovered in Igala land of Kogi State. The first steps towards the outlawing of "killer robots" have been taken today by international community. Governments attending a weapons meeting in Geneva have agreed to begin international discussions in May 2014 on utonomous robot weapons. "Governments have recognized that fully autonomous weapons raise serious legal and ethical concerns, and that urgent action is needed," said Steve Goose, arms director at Human Rights Watch, a co-founder of the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. Former Federal Capital Territory Minister Mallam el-Rufai has reportedly been detained by the State Security Service (SSS) in his hotel room in Anambra state. The member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was reportedly barred from free movement. There are strong indications that the Federal Road Safety Corps is shielding the alleged driver of the convoy vehicle that caused the accident which killed a former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof. Festus Iyayi at Banda village, near Lokoja, Kogi State on Tuesday. The Kogi State FRSC sector commander, Olakunle Motajo, speaking with journalist in Abuja on the telephone said that the report of the investigation into the accident was not ready. Motajo “The report is not ready yet, we are still working on it; don’t worry, I will call you whenever it is ready,” he said and terminated the phone call.
