Planned Amnesty Is Wickedness — Oritsejafor 7 April, 2013 Local The President, Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has said it will be an act of wickedness, if President Goodluck Jonathan declares amnesty for Boko Haram. Oritsejafor said the pardon could only be granted when members of the sect admitted their wrongdoings. He queried what would be the fate of the victims of the sect’s insurgencies, should its members be allowed to escape prosecution. While addressing journalists at the 80th birthday ceremony of the President, Apostolic Church of Nigeria, Pastor Gabriel Oladele Olutola, in Lagos, the CAN president warned that Jonathan should not toy with the future of Nigeria by trading off its security on the altar of politics. Man Dies After Acid Bath At Girlfriend’s House 7 April, 2013 Local The Enugu State police command says it has commenced a fullscale investigation into the death of one Ugwu Peter Chima, who died as a result of acid bath he received in his lover’s house. In a statement made available to DailyPost on Sunday, the police spokesman in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu disclosed that the deceased had gone to see his lover at Old Army Barracks Nsukka in Enugu state when the incident happened. “He was attacked with accid by a group of six armed men yet to be identified thereby leaving him with serious injuries on his body. “He was, however, rushed to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku Ozalla Enugu for medical attention, where he was subsequently confirmed dead”, Amaraizu stated.‬

20 Illegal Cocaine Joints Destroyed In Ijaw Settlements 7 April, 2013 Local Over 20 illegal cocaine joints at Olabrakopre, Ogbokone and other Ijaw settlements in Warri, Delta state were set ablaze, weekend,  by a local task force of the bursting Meinbutus community. Hard drugs estimated at millions of naira were destroyed by the task force, which also raided Kemekedoumene, Egbemene, NPA,  Macava,  and other settlements. The girl, who reported the incident to the police at Akim Police Division which effected the arrest of Rowland, said she was returning from school, on Friday, 22 March, when she met Rowland who took her to his house and raped her all-night. The story took a twist when the suspect's friends were quoted as alleging he was addicted to raping young girls.
