By Temitayo   /   Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has rewarded the 3 indigines of the state who won gold medal at the just concluded Rio 2016 paralympic games. Rodney Ajaelu, the Commissioner for Public Safety, Youth and Sports, yesterday, Sept. 22, presented the paralympic gold medalists, Roland Ezurike, Nwosu Ndidi and Orji Josephine Precious to the Governor who honoured them with a brand new car and one million Naira each. Okorocha also extended his kind gesture to some of the coaches, including Luke Ibe, also known as ‘Miracle coach’ who led them to victory. “The best thing that can happen in Nigeria will come from Imo state as you have made not only the state but the nation proud”, Okorocha said. EFCC Probes Diezani Alison Madueke Over N4bn Hotel Deal With Former Military Administrator

By Temitayo   /   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered another multi-billion naira transaction believed to have been carried out by former Petroleum Resources Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke. EFCC is probing a N4billion hotel deal between Mrs. Alison-Madueke and a former military administrator, whose identity is yet to be released “so as to protect the investigation”. According to the Nation, the hotel may be placed under Interim Forfeiture as soon as the preliminary investigation is concluded. Also, it was gathered at the weekend that some business associates of Mrs Alison-Madueke were yet to refund to the EFCC about $1.85billion traced to them. Patience Jonathan To Drag EFCC To West African Court

From Femi Folaranmi, Yenagoa Former first lady, Mrs Patience Ibifaka Jonathan has concluded plans to drag the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to the African Commission of Human and Peoples Right in Gambia. Sources close to the legal team said they took the decision to seek legal redress in a court free from manipulation. Already a new group, The Rebranded Indigenous People of Biafra (TRIPOB) has thrown its weight behind the decision to drag the EFCC before the African Commission of Human and Peopless Right over its case Mrs Jonathan.
