CBN To Switch Back To Paper Money Posted by: Channels Television Posted date: April 22, 2013 In: Business | comment : 0 Years after spending millions of Naira on campaigns and migration of the nation’s currency from paper prints to polymer notes, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced that it is ready to stop the printing of small denomination naira in polymer notes. The deputy governor, banking supervision Mr Tunde Lemo, in a statement on Sunday said the apex bank decided to scrap the polymer notes because they fade easily, despite earlier experiments which showed that the notes could last longer than paper notes. Mr Lemo adds that no new polymer note is being printed at the moment and the CBN will begin to produce the second generation of lower denomination notes sometime between June and July this year. Sani Abacha. Odusanya reportedly worked behind the scenes when Obasanjo was in power. In a live interview, with an online news portal, Sahara Reporters, Odusanya alleged that the former President lodged the killer squad at a State Security Service headquarters, known as ‘Yellow House.’ He appeared on the programme alongside Mr. Segun Seriki, a PDP member in Ogun State and a member of the House of Representatives in the Third Republic, under the Social Democratic Party. It is the land of the Egba people, made up of four regions: Ake, Owu, Gbagura and Oke-Ona. The city, founded about 183 years ago, has many tourist attractions. Most popular is the famous Olumo Rock (137 metres tall), which served as a refuge for the people during the wars in the 19th century. Graduate Stabs Himself To Death In Lagos 22 April, 2013 Local Residents of Wole Madariola Street, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos have been asking questions about what pushed Chidike Oyeka, a graduate of Madonna University, Anambra, to stab himself repeatedly thereby taking his own life. PUNCH Metro learnt that the Chidike on April 19, 2013, took a kitchen knife and stabbed himself repeatedly until his intestines were disembowelled. Our correspondent, who visited his parents’ home where the incident occurred, learnt that the victim recently concluded his National Youth Service Corps programme.
