Emmanuel Adebayor convert to Muslim while Emenike denies conversion

Over the weekend, two popular African footballers; Emmanuel Emenike and Emmanuel Adebayor reportedly converted to Islam. Daily Post reported that Emenike announced his conversion during a conversation with a coach of his club, Vitor Pereira. Though the striker admitted to fasting during the Ramadan month, he denied his conversion saying he was a staunch catholic. The top scorer at AFCON 2013 was absent when the squad had breakfast on Saturday, prompting the manager to ask about his whereabouts. Nigerian Taxi Driver Insults Gay Passengers; Gets Suspended

A Nigerian man living and working in Calgary, Stephen Eze, has faced sanctions for insulting two passengers who were kissing in his cab. According to one of the lovers, Nolan Hill, he and his partner were at Nashville North but decided to leave Stampede Grounds around 11 p.m. They headed to the city's northwest in a Calgary United Cab. Although Nolan and his partner talked throughout the ride, an altercation arose when he gave his boyfriend what he called "very simple peck on the mouth". The cab driver, Stephen Eze was said to have been upset and disgusted. Hill said: The cab driver said, 'No, you can't do that in my cab.' And my friend said, 'Excuse me?' LASU Students Go On Rampage, Block Vehicular Movement

It seem the last has not heard of the crisis rocking Lagos State University (LASU) as students yesterday June 9 took over Badagry and Iba expressways blocking vehicular movement, The Sun reports. This current protest is coming of heel of the contention between the institution's management and staff unions as the 48-hour ultimatum issued by the student expired.. The student union mouthpiece, Adebanjo Fatai, stated thet decision to of the student to take to the street was taken after a meeting held yesterday morning. The protest brought to halt commercial activities around the area and the campus. It also caused heavy traffic leading to commuters to disembark and continue their journeys on foot. The police deployed 11 police vans and armoured personnel carrier and stationed it at the Badagry Expressway gate of LASU to prevent the situation from turning violent.
