They were welcomed by the show organizers and a lot of media guys who wanted to get a first pictures of them. Unlike Kim who left Nigeria the same day when she came for Dare Art Alade's show, Amber will be leaving the country Monday morning after tomorrow's event. The action, he said, was taken to enable him to inject “fresh blood into the administration of the state.” In a statement signed by the state’s Director of Cabinet, Mr. Dotun Omokemi, the decision was made after the executive council meeting, which lasted for just 11 minutes on Monday. The statement, credited to the governor read, “There was the need to inject fresh blood into the administration, in the quest to serve the state better.” Ajimobi thanked the commissioners and special advisers who made up the executive council, for their contributions, instructing them to hand over to the permanent secretaries in their various ministries. Sources told PREMIUM TIMES that none of the governor’s aides had any inkling of the fate that awaited them until their boss made the announcement. Governor Ajimobi, in a statement signed by the Director of Cabinet in the state’s civil service, Dotun Omokemi, confirmed the sack. It was a total purge as all members of the state cabinet, including the secretary to the state government, Akin Olajide; Chief of Staff, Adeolu Akande; all the commissioners as well as special advisers were affected, leaving only the governor and his deputy, Moses Alake Adeyemo, behind. Corpse Of 2-year-Old Child Found In Lagos Church, Pastor Arrested For Murder

24 September, 2013 Local According to reports, Operatives at the Homicide Section of the state Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, Lagos is currently looking the discovery of the decomposing body of a two-year-old child in a church premises in Egbeda area of Lagos. The pastor of the said church has currently been arrested for the murder of the child. It was gathered that the pastor was caught burying the dead child in a shallow grave within the church premises. Reports also have it that the pastor was allegedly caught by a neighbour who had gone out to ease himself at 2a.m., weekend, digging the grave. The neighbour, whose identity was not disclosed, was said to have alerted other residents. They were said to have reported their findings to policemen at Idimu Division, consequent upon which a team was drafted to the church. 24 September, 2013 Local A horrific incident took place at the university town of Nsukka, Enugu State left a young girl devastated after she was raped and her fiance shot in the head. It was reported that unidentified gunmen attacked this girl who was celebrating her birthday with her fiance. The incident reportedly occurred last Saturday when the girl’s boyfriend, identified as Sunday Ozioko, 30, took out his lover in his new Toyota Camry saloon car as part of the birthday celebration. The gunmen, who reportedly rode in a motorcycle, blocked the vehicle along Orba Road at 6.30p.m., took over the car and sped off through Orba Market to Obollo-Afor. They stopped at Alor-Ano CommunitySecondary School, raped the girl and shot her fiancé, who survived the attack, but was said to be in critical condition. 24 September, 2013 Local THE strike action embarked upon by university lecturers has assumed another dimension as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been dragged before the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) over the lingering strike action. The suit, with the number NICW/Abj/242/2013 which also has ministers of labour and productivity, education, finance and justice, as well as secretary to the government of the federation as defendants, was instituted by the registered trustees of Golden Women of Integrity and Vision Association and Mrs. Florence Uche Ojieh. In the suit, the claimants are asking the court to determine whether the strike action embarked upon by ASUU is not illegal and contrary to law and whether members of the union are not bound by the policy of ‘no work no pay’ and therefore not entitled to their salary during the period of the strike.
