The ace thespian said, “I was injured in the debacle but I would not like to comment further on it on the telephone.” Meanwhile the President of VROAN, Kassim Olatunbosun aka Boe, has been declared wanted by his members and the police. He is accused of wanton embezzlement of public funds at his disposal. Kassim is said to have mismanaged the royalties for marketers and film producers that his members paid into the coffers of VROAN over the last two years. The other members of the group arrived amidst cheers by fans, but one could tell that the leader of the band was worried; perhaps knowing the credibility question the defection by the boys could pose to his career. The 'Smallville' actor and his estranged wife cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their split. The actor's wife filed divorce documents on Wednesdays, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the dissolution of the marriage. She is also asking for spousal support, according to the gossip site. The two separated in December last year.

Within just six weeks, the family of former Ooni of Ife, the late Sir Adesoji Aderemi, lost three women, all daughters of the revered former traditional ruler, reported to have wielded a lot of power and influence during his reign in the town now located in the State of Osun, western Nigeria. The three women, P.M.NEWS gathered, are Princess Tejumade Alakija, a former Head of Service in the old Western Region, Princess Teniade Areoye Adunni Omoworare and Princess Adeogun Lasekan. They all died in their old age. Princess Tejumade Alakija was the first to die on Friday, 23 August at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, after a brief illness. She was 88 years old. Until her death, Alakija, also a former Pro-Chancellor of the University of Benin, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the University of Abuja, was the head of the Adesoji Aderemi and the popular Omisore families of Osun State. 20 October, 2013 Local v President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday promised reasonably stable power supply in the country by the middle of 2014. The President made this promise while inaugurating the Phase II 500mw Omotosho National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) Plant in Ondo State. He added that the Federal Government was targeting 4,700mw from 10 NIPPs which he said would be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2014. According to him, the 10 NIPP projects will be handed over to the private sector next year after completion and inauguration. 20 October, 2013 Foreign Nearly two dozen more women who say they were forced to strip in front of a videocamera at a Washington jail are speaking out, according to a local news station, bringing the total number of suspects claiming mistreatment by police to about three dozen. Most of the women were not even convicted inmates, but misdemeanor DUI suspects who were allegedly told by officers to change into jail scrubs, said James Egan, one of the attorneys handling a lawsuit against the Puyallup Police Department. In August, 11 women and one man who say they were filmed by a surveillance camera while undressing and using the toilet at the Puyallup city jail sued the police department. Reporters was told that about 100 soldiers that returned from Mali and were immediately deployed to Maiduguri, Borno State, and were shortchanged of at least $2, 000 (N320, 000) each.
