Some Strange things has been happening in several parts of the world recently as illuminated figures where projected over Sugarloaf mountain Brazil and eleven oddly dressed men have been seen in London,Germany and Italy. It all started with a strange bio harzard sign in Two different parts of the world and #TheWinnerTakesEarth Sign In Brazil. First was in Rio De janeiro's Sugarloaf Mountain And then in New York The symbol Appeared in Times Square London England. And in this last weekend Eleven hooded men have been spotted all over Europian football games from Italy (Juventus) to German (Bayern Munich) and including games in England. ASUU Strike: "United We Bargain, Divided We Beg - Fagge Salutes Colleagues

29 October, 2013 Local As the lingering ASUU strike enters day 121, the President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dr. Nasir Fagge, has praised members of the union for their conduct since the strike began on July 1. Fagge commended ASUU principal leaders for their attempts to ensure that ‘there is no going back’ until their demands are met. He made this known in his statement posted on the website of the association. He also called the FG's stance regarding the union’s demands  “no more than a repeat performance of a one-act-play: all the deceptions, propaganda, lies, mischief and such other Shenanigans.’’ The extract from the statement read as follows: “We believe very strongly that the rot and decay in the university system cannot only be arrested but is also reversible. We believe even more strongly that the key to turning round the university system lies in the sincere implementation of the agreement." According to the state

Cameroon: Nigerian Army Shoot Own Refugees at Border

31 October, 2013 Local Cameroonian gendarme Gaitan Atouba was stunned when the Nigerian military opened fire on more than 100 Nigerian refugees under his protection, killing 15 and seriously wounding seven in the northeast Nigerian border town of Banki earlier this month. Nigerian Muslims fleeing the military crackdown on Boko Haram in northeastern Nigeria have fled to Cameroon's Minawao refugee camp, near Mokolo, Far North region. Okike beat two other finalists Edmund Umeabuani and Ifunanya Onike by being the only person to complete the final task of finding 10th Symbol in the waters of Usaka River, Akwa-Ibom State where the reality show was held this year. As soon as he located it, host Chidi Mokeme inducted him into the order of Heroes as the 10th ‘Ultimate Man’. ASUU: FG Yet To Release N100bn To Universities

1 November, 2013 Local Despite claims by the Federal government that the sum of N100billion had been disbursed to 59 public universities to improve infrastructure in the benefitting institutions, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has alleged that none of the universities had received the said sum. This is just as former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon has appealed to both parties to strike a compromise for the sake of our children and the country.
