After Four Years, Davido Set To Drop Two EPs…Thoughts Guys?

Sony Music act, Davido, is finally set to make a big comeback to the music scene. The talented singer, since his juicy deal with Sony Music earlier this year, has announced that he will be gifting his fans with not one but two EPs in the month of September. He made this announcement on his Instagram page, also revealing the title of the album as ‘Son of Mercy.’ SEPTEMBER WE BEGIN THE JOURNEY TO THE ‘SON OF MERCY’ DOUBLE E.P !!! Wizkid To Join Davido At Sony Music Global

Rave of the moment, Wizkid , is said to be set on signing a global deal with Sony Music International. The singer, according to a source who spoke with Thenet.ng, will announce the deal in a few days as everything has been finalized. The source said: ‘Wizkid’s new deal with Sony is a done deal, the News should be out couple of days’. The source continued that when the deal is finally official, Wizkid and Davido , will be working in the same building. ‘Wizkid is going to be in the same building as Davido at Sony Music’s New York office’ Davido, was signed to a major deal with the international label, early this year, starting the new year on a good note.

The government of Burkina Faso has banned an annual beauty contest for women with the biggest buttocks, saying such events are sexist. Following the outcry on social media over a big buttocks beauty contest in Burkina Faso, the government has banned such pageant.   Adverts for this weekend's third edition of 'Miss Bim-Bim', carrying an image of two fully clothed women with exaggeratedly large behinds, provoked an outcry on social media. "Our role is to do everything to avoid damaging the image of women," said Minister Laure Zongo in a statement, adding that social media criticism had persuaded her to act. The male organiser of the event, Hamado Doambahe , said it aimed to promote a more positive body image for African women and encourage fashion designers to use African costumes.
