WEDDING CAKE PALAVER

A MC at a wedding ceremony was asked to propose a toast to a newly Couple were beaming with smile on their royal seat. The MC was to read an inscription that was boldly embossed on the wedding cake that was to be soon cut by the new couple.
Meanwhile, the couple before tyhe wedding had written out to the cake designer "1John 4:18" which reads " There is no fear in Love; but perfect love cast out fear......"
However, the cake designer had mistakenly removed the "1" of the quote and was left with "John 4:18".
The MC was not aware of the mix-up in the passage, positioned himself well, and then read out with confidence thus: " Our inscription is taken from the Gospel according to St. John 4:18 which reads : "YOU HAVE HAD FIVE HUSBANDS. BUT THE MAN YOU NOW HAVE IS NOT YOUR HUSBAND....."
Before he could look up, the invited Guest and all other well wishers had started leaving one after the other.
