Man Murders 14-Year-Old Daughter Over Her Attending Different Church

Lagos State Police have arrested a 72-year-old man John Udin for killing his 14-year-old daughter Ejiro over a disagreement on what church she attends.
The girls mother said her husband was mad to know that their daughter wanted to attend a church different from the one he usually goes to. Angry man hit the girl in the head with a log containing nails.
Reportedly it all started last week Tuesday, when the deceased and others told their father that they were going to some other church.
The argument over this issue led to hostility between the man on one hand and his wife and children on the other hand.
The father was said to have been whipping the daughter at any occasion due to feeling slighted over the matter.
According to the information, the man allegedly locked the bleeding daughter and her mother in the kitchen. Only five days later a 14-year-old was taken to the hospital.
The suspect, denied killing his daughter, claiming that he wanted to hit his wife. He said that his wife had dodged the log and had pushed her daughter to it.
