Sunday Oliseh Gets Another Chance As Eagles, Lions Clash

Sunday’s friendly is another opportunity for under fire coach, Sunday Oliseh to realign his team after picking just four points from a possible six in as many games as the team’s manager.

Since he took over, Nigeria have played draw against Tanzania, beaten Niger Republic and were beaten 0-2 by the Leopards of Congo DR in another friendly match staged in Belgium.
Oliseh has also had to deal with issues ranging from players’ absence, misunderstanding, selection, among others.
A statement issued by Super Sport reads: “Oliseh believes the matches will help him to prepare for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers starting in November to be also broadcast live on SuperSport — World of Champions.
“It’s a mixture of the old and new for Oliseh, who will line up experienced campaigners like John Obi Mikel, Elderson Echiejile, Emmanuel Emenike and Ogenyi Onazi.

Meanwhile, the coach, whom many Nigerians have slammed for his poor handling of the misunderstanding between him and retired goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has denied reports that he abused the player’s late mum during the altercation.
