EXERCISE WORKS ON YOUR SKIN

Most of us work out to lose some weight, have bikini bodies, six packs, sexy abs and for some just to keep fit and healthy. Of course these are very good reasons for exercising and I am very guilty of the above reasons especially the bikini body part wink. But did you know that WORKING OUT WORKS ON YOUR SKIN too??? If you are usually not motivated to work out then this might just be the motivation you need. You can start working out for your skin.
I hear you say “how does it work?”
I’d try to keep this as simple as possible, no science jargons. The truth is the same way exercise keeps your muscles toned is the same way it can keep your skin toned too, just as it keeps your body healthy it also keeps your skin healthy and even adds a glow to it. Like eating right, whatever keeps your body healthy keeps your skin healthy. When you work out your heart beats faster which means it’s going to be pumping more blood than it usually does. This results to better circulation and as a result, the skin cells are supplied with more oxygenated blood, nutrients and other essentials needed for a healthy skin.
Let’s get specific about some of the amazing benefits of exercise on your skin
Glowing skin
If you workout often you cannot deny that there’s this glow that comes after working out, the post-workout glow. Your skin just glistens and leaps for joy like some life has been added to it. This glow results from the supply of oxygenated blood to the skin.
Acne Relief
I can testify to this 100%. Exercise can indeed reduce breakouts of all sorts. Growing up as a teenager and even as an adult, I always had history with pimples. I used so many products and some cleared them but after sometime the pimples came right back. With Spotlight face cream there was tremendous improvement but I still had breakouts once in a while (not as much as in the past). But when I started hitting the gym (with the motivation of having my bikini sexy abs body, lol) I noticed I stopped breaking out. My face became way better. It was not automatic though, it took some time before I noticed. If you always have breakout issues, I advise you start working out a few times a week as an addition to your facial routine. Working out corrects the hormonal imbalance that can cause adult acne.
You would be dazed at the improvement you would see. Sweating it out is equivalent to a mini-facial. The thing is since regular exercise enhances circulation which brings more blood flow and oxygen to the skin. This helps draw toxins out of the body including toxins that clog the pores. Sweating also pushes out bacteria, oils and dirt clogging the skin pores. However, after a workout session it is important to shower as soon as possible or take facial wipes along with you so that these elements which are flushed out do not remain in the pores and clog them again.
