Dr Katsuya Takasu promised to give each player of the squad $30,000 and has promised to hand $390,000 to the Olympic football team for its performance in Rio despite being cash-strapped. Nigeria Wins First Medal In Rio As Dream Team Beat Honduras 3-2

Mariam was the only weightlifter that represented Nigeria in Rio. She competed in the +75 category and amassed 265 kg. She finished 8th in her group. Okagbare Leads Nigeria Team Into 4x100m Relay Final At Rio

The development comes from the qualification of the quartet of Bless Okagbare, Gloria Asumnu, Jennifer Madu and Agnes Osazuwa for the finals of women’s 4x100m relay at the Olympic Games. Okagbare, on Thursday, led Team Nigeria into the finals after posting a 42.55sec finish. Nnaemeka who claimed to be a gynaecologist was said to have duped his victim, Nkechi Ani, of N6.7m under different requests. The victim was reportedly introduced to him by one of her classmates at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. The suspect was also said to have tricked Ani into marrying him and they were joined in a traditional wedding on June 6, 2015, without informing her that he was married with three children.
